Prickly pear extract has an effect on reducing certain alcohol hangover symptoms, according to study

September 10, 2022 · By Brian Wilder

Drinking Buddy consists of a number of quality vetted out ingredients.  Each ingredient was specifically chosen to address certain next day effects of alcohol.  In this article we will specifically look at Prickly Pear Extract and how it can impact three major alcohol hangover symptoms.

A large reason we don’t feel great the next day after drinking has to do with inflammation caused by alcohol.  In a study by Jeff Weise and his colleagues of the Tulane Health Sciences Center, they wanted to see what impact prickly pear extract could have on individuals next day symptoms after drinking.  What they found is that participants who took the pricky pear extract (found in Drinking Buddy) reported less severe symptoms than those who did not take the extract.  Specifically reducing the symptoms of nausea, dry mouth, and loss of appetite.  In addition those that took prickly pear were measured to have a lower level of C-reactive protein which is produced by the liver and linked to inflammation.

No one ingredient in our formula is going to help curb the negative effects of alcohol.  But the combination of our all ingredients sure do help!
